Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board Mandates STP Installation for Hospitals with 100 Beds
Pollution Control Sector News | Project News | Project Update | Project Opportunities
Effective January 1, 2024, the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board (RSPCB) mandates hospitals with 100 beds to install Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs). RSPCB eases effluent standards for smaller hospitals connected to terminal STPs, allowing discharge into public sewers. Larger healthcare facilities without terminal STPs or environmental clearance must install their STPs. Those connected to public sewers and terminal STPs are exempt. All healthcare facilities must include scientifically designed disinfection facilities before effluent discharge, aligning with RSPCB directives to manage wastewater responsibly.
