Ramsarup Integrated Steel Plant Expansion at Kharagpur

Ramsarup Industries has applied for Terms of Reference to conduct Environmental Impact Assessment studies for the expansion and modification of its existing integrated steel plant located at Industrial Estate, Kharagpur, District Paschim Medinipur, West Bengal. The proposal includes increasing sponge iron production from 3,00,000 TPA (2 x 500 TPD DRI kilns) to 12,37,500 TPA (500 TPD + 5 x 650 TPD DRI kilns), and expanding the sinter plant capacity from 9,60,000 TPA to 15,09,375 TPA.
