Request for Amendment in Raw Material Use at Existing Distillery Unit

An amendment is being sought for the existing environmental clearance (EC) of a facility with a capacity of 10,000 TCD, a new 60 MW co-generation unit, and a 200 KLPD molasses-based distillery unit. The proposal includes adding sugar syrup and sugar cane juice to the existing molasses-based distillery, thereby broadening the raw material base. This change aims to reduce dependence on B/C-heavy molasses and enhance the distillery’s resilience to market and environmental volatility. The existing Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) system for the distillery unit will remain adequate even with the new feedstock options.
