The Ministry of Railways has tasked Rail India Technical and Economic Services Limited (RITES) with revising the project document for the Thiruvananthapuram-Kasargod Silver Line, addressing errors identified earlier. The approval for the Silver Line would depend on resolving technical and environmental concerns. Currently, the project has only in-principle approval, with the main goal being the approval of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) and securing finance ministry permissions.
