Riverbank Protection Project Awarded in Assam Districts
Brahmaputra Infrastructure Limited
Brahmaputra Infrastructure has received an order from the Water Resource Department for executing riverbank protection works under ADB’s Climate Resilient Brahmaputra Integrated Flood and Riverbank Erosion Risk Management Project. The contract covers high-priority underwater protection (Section 1) and above-water riverbank protection (Section 2) across Lakhimpur (Dhakuwakhana, Bonpuroi), Biswanath, and Sonitpur districts in Assam. Identified as Package No. W9-LBS, Lot 3, the project aims to mitigate erosion risks and enhance climate resilience along the Brahmaputra river system.
