Rs. 93 Crore Tourism Development Project to Transform Alappuzha

The Alappuzha A Global Water Wonderland project, under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme, is set to begin with an outlay of Rs. 93.17 crore, including Rs. 74.95 crore as a Union government loan. Kerala Tourism Infrastructure will execute the project, upgrading beaches, backwaters, and canals with promenades, landscaped areas, parking, event spaces, cafes, boat docks, and jetties. An international cruise terminal at Punnamada Finishing Point is planned, with completion targeted for February 2026.
