Sand Mining Project Proposed in Punjab

An application has been submitted for environmental clearance for a sand mining project with a production capacity of 1,43,325 tonnes per annum (TPA) over an area of 19.92 hectares. The project, located on agricultural land in Hadbast No. 272, Village Nangra Kalmot (Part-2), Tehsil Nangal, District Rupnagar, Punjab, encompasses multiple Khasra numbers in Block-III. The proposal has been submitted by the Executive Engineer, Rupnagar, Drainage cum Mines and Geology, WRD Punjab.
