SECI Issues Tender for 450,000 MTPA Green Hydrogen Production

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a tender for tranche-II of green hydrogen incentives under the National Green Hydrogen Mission, targeting 450,000 metric tonnes per annum (MTPA) of green hydrogen. The Request for Selection (RfS) document aims to select producers for setting up production facilities under the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) Scheme Mode-1-Tranche-II. The capacity available for bidding includes 410,000 MTPA for bucket-I and 40,000 MTPA for bucket-II. This initiative marks a significant step towards scaling up India’s green hydrogen production capacity, aligning with global sustainability goals and promoting renewable energy integration in the economy.
