Sela Tunnel Project Initiated: Enhancing Connectivity to Arunachal Pradesh

The Sela Tunnel Project in Arunachal Pradesh aims to enhance all-weather connectivity to the Tawang region. Situated at an altitude of 13,700 feet in the West Kameng district, the project includes two tunnels and a link road on the Tezpur to Tawang route. Executed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), the tunnel will significantly reduce travel time to Tawang by at least an hour, especially during winter when Sela Pass remains closed.
