Surbana Jurong Appointed for Bharat Future City DPR

The Telangana government has appointed Singapore-based Surbana Jurong to prepare the DPR for the Bharat Future City near Mucherla. The projects core phase spans 30,000 acres, with 15,000 acres dedicated to functional zones including education, healthcare, IT, AI, sports, and film city clusters, while the remaining 15,000 acres are reserved for urban forestry and net-zero conservation. The FCDA invited proposals in January 2026 for a wider master plan covering 2 lakh acres to be completed within nine months.
