Tata Power Renewable Signs PPA for 80 MW Hybrid Project

Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), a subsidiary of Tata Power, has signed a power purchase agreement with Tata Power Mumbai Distribution for an 80 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project. The project will integrate solar, wind, and battery storage systems to ensure reliable power supply during peak hours. Scheduled for completion in 24 months, it will generate around 315 million units annually and cut 0.25 million tonne of CO? emissions each year. It guarantees a four-hour peak power supply with 90 percent availability. The project will serve around eight lakh consumers upon commissioning.
