Tesco to set up new distribution centre in Karnataka

Tesco is planning to establish a distribution centre in Karnataka, which is expected to create around 15,000 jobs. The project reflects increasing UK investment interest in Indias retail and logistics sector. The upcoming facility will strengthen supply chain operations and support growing trade opportunities under the proposed India-UK Free Trade Agreement, which is set to provide duty-free access to a large share of bilateral exports. The development positions Karnataka as a key hub for retail distribution infrastructure.
