Thane to host Maharashtra’s largest waste-to-fertiliser plant

Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) is developing Maharashtra’s largest waste-to-fertiliser project at Gaymukh, processing 300-400 tons of wet waste on a three-acre site using advanced scientific methods. Funded with Rs. 150 crore under the state’s basic amenities scheme, the project includes a 97-ton capacity plant at Gaymukh, a 50-ton unit at Nagla Bandar, and two mobile vans producing 1.5 tons of fertiliser each.
