Tuticorin Airport Upgrade to Accommodate Airbus 321 by December

Tuticorin Airport is set for a major upgrade to handle larger aircraft like the Airbus 321, increasing passenger capacity from 78 to 250. The Tamil Nadu government has acquired 106 acres for the project, which includes extending the runway to 3,115 meters in length and 45 meters in width. KEC International is constructing a new 17,341 sq. m. terminal building with four entry gates, 21 check-in counters, and seven X-ray baggage scanners, expected to be completed by December.
