Ultraviolette secures Rs.175 crore funding for EV motorcycle expansion

Ultraviolette, a high-performance electric motorcycle manufacturer, has raised USD 21 million (about Rs.175 crore) from TDK Ventures to drive sustainable mobility initiatives. The company targets Indias 20 million-unit two-wheeler market while expanding globally, with sales already in 10 EU countries. Backed by a patented five-level battery safety system and a facility capable of producing 1,00,000 units annually, Ultraviolette plans to scale models priced between USD 2,00010,000 and expand to 100 Indian cities by year-end.
