UP to invest ?50,000 crore in seven new expressways

The Uttar Pradesh government plans to invest nearly ?50,000 crore in seven new expressways spanning 866 km over the next 2-3 years. Approved by the state cabinet and led by UPEIDA, these projects will connect about 30 districts to the expanding expressway network, interlinking 56 districts. The proposed expressways include Chitrakoot Link (120 km), Jhansi Link (100 km), Jewar Link (76 km), Vindhya (320 km), Vindhya Purvanchal Link (100 km), Agra-Lucknow-Purvanchal Link (60 km), and Agra-Lucknow-Ganga Link (90 km). Currently, five expressways are operational in the state.
