Uttar Pradesh Approves Solar Projects Worth Rs 10,000 Crore

Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency

Uttar Pradesh has cleared solar projects totaling Rs. 10,000 crore to boost its renewable energy capacity to 22,000 MW. Three solar plants with a combined capacity of 2,000 MW will be set up in Jhansi, Lalitpur, and Chitrakoot. NTPC Green Energy will develop 800 MW and 600 MW plants in Chitrakoot and Lalitpur, respectively, while Hinduja Group will build a 600 MW unit in Jhansi. These projects, managed by UPNEDA, are slated for completion by December 2025.
