VinFast Phase-II EV Manufacturing Expansion at Thoothukkudi

VinFast Auto India has proposed Phase-II expansion of its Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Unit with a capacity of 2,00,000 electric cars per annum, 10,00,000 electric scooters per annum and 2,000 electric buses per annum. The project involves a total built-up area of 6,48,000 sq.m over 408.35 acres at Silanatham Village and parts of Therkuveerapandia Puram Village within SIPCOT Industrial Park, Ottapidaram Taluk, Thoothukkudi District, Tamil Nadu. The expansion is currently under environmental clearance consideration.
