World’s First 2G Bioethanol Plant Inaugurated at NRL Assam

Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL)

Numaligarh Refinery in Golaghat, Assam has inaugurated the world’s first 2G bioethanol plant with an investment of Rs. 5,000 crore. The facility, using Chempolis technology, will consume 5 lakh tonnes of bamboo annually to produce 50 TMT ethanol, 19 TMT furfural, and 11 TMT acetic acid.
