The Kukrail river interception and diversion (I&D) project, a key milestone in Lucknow’s urban water management efforts, was successfully completed, halting untreated sewage from 17 drains. The ?67.65 crore initiative, approved in 2020-21, involves a 6 km-long sewer line that diverts sewage to the Kukrail sewage pumping station (SPS).
