Petropol India Limited has applied for environmental clearance to expand its existing rolling mill capacity from 79,800 TPA to 200,000 TPA. The project includes upgrading a PNG-based reheating furnace from 15 to 25 tonnes, adding two induction furnaces (20 IF and 15 IF) with two 4/7m radius CCM strands, and a 25-tonne ladle refining furnace (LRF) for producing 173,250 TPA of MS billets/ingots. A slag crushing unit of 60 TPD is also proposed at the RIICO Industrial Area, Phase III, near Harchandpur village, Tijara Tehsil, in Alwar District, Rajasthan.
