Tehkhand Waste To Electricity Project Limited proposes to expand the existing 25 MW Waste to Energy plant by 20 MW, increasing the total plant capacity to 45 MW. Municipal Solid Waste in South Delhi is collected by MCD from various sources such as residential, commercial, institutional, street sweeping, and markets. The existing plant currently produces 25 MW of electricity, and following the expansion, the total capacity will reach 45 MW.
