NHAI invites tenders for capacity augmentation of key NH stretches

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has invited tenders to appoint consultants for preparing detailed project reports to enhance capacity on NH-181, NH-81, NH-532, NH-85, and NH-136. The project aims to ease congestion by constructing bypasses, grade separators, and four-lane expansions in Salem, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Nilgiris, and Cuddalore. Proposed works on NH-181 include bypasses in Karamadai-Mettupalayam (12 km), Coonoor (5 km), Ooty (27 km), and Gudalur (8 km), along with a road over bridge near Burliar.
