95% tunneling completed for Namma Metro Pink Line, set for 2026 launch
Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL)
BMRCL has announced that 95% of the tunneling work for the 21-km Pink Line of Namma Metro is complete. Running from Kalena Agrahara to Nagawara, the line includes a 13.8-km underground section from Dairy Circle to Nagawara. Designed for a maximum speed of 80 kmph, it will be the first in Bengaluru to feature platform screen doors at underground stations. The stretch is expected to be operational by 2026.
