Maharashtra Approves ?20,787 Cr Shaktipeeth Expressway Project
Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC)
The Maharashtra Cabinet has approved the Shaktipeeth Expressway project, a high-speed 802.6 km corridor linking 12 districts from Pawanar in Wardha to Patra Devi near the Goa border in Sindhudurg. Executed by Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation, the expressway aims to enhance tourism, transport, and rural development. It will reduce travel time between Nagpur and Goa to eight hours. The project will also be integrated with the upcoming Konkan Expressway for improved coastal connectivity.
