Study Launched for CAMP in Six Major River Basins

The Department of Water Resources under the Ministry of Jal Shakti is conducting a Condition Assessment and Management Plan (CAMP) for six major river basins—Periyar, Godavari, Narmada, Mahanadi, Cauvery, and Krishna. The initiative aims to create a comprehensive action plan for conservation, ecosystem restoration, and ecological improvement of rivers and tributaries. This study supports sustainable water resource management and holistic river basin development across these critical water systems.
