Bihar to Set Up Rs. 1,500 Crore CBG Plants by 2025

Bihar plans to establish 10 compressed biogas (CBG) plants by the end of 2025 with an investment exceeding Rs. 1,500 crore. These facilities are projected to produce five lakh tonnes of biomass-based CBG annually, supporting renewable energy adoption and waste-to-fuel initiatives. The project is also expected to create over 50,000 direct and indirect jobs in areas such as plant operations, maintenance, and biomass collection, contributing to both economic growth and sustainable energy development in the state.
