CEAT to Invest Rs.450 Crore for Chennai Plant Expansion

CEAT plans to invest Rs. 450 crore to expand capacity at its Chennai plant, focusing on passenger car radial (PCR) tyres. This expansion is part of the company’s revised capital expenditure plan for FY25–26, increasing its total outlay to Rs. 1,000–1,050 crore. The Rs. 450 crore will be deployed over two years, with Rs. 100–150 crore allocated in the current fiscal. The Chennai facility currently manufactures truck, bus, and passenger car radial tyres, and the new investment aims to boost PCR tyre production.
