Punjab To Implement 40 MW Canal-Top Solar Project Across Canals

The Punjab government plans a 40 MW canal-top solar photovoltaic deployment by leasing canal stretches to the Punjab Energy Development Agency at Rs. 1.5 lakh per MW per annum. The project involves standard canal-top mounting, grid-interconnection, and O&M provisions, with the power intended for sale to the Punjab State Power Corporation at Rs. 3 per unit, subject to regulatory clearance.
