Coimbatore Airport to Get Rs. 93 Crore Drainage Upgrade

The Coimbatore International Airport will undergo a Rs. 93 crore underground sewage and drainage system upgrade, jointly planned by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation (CCMC). The plan includes constructing a closed underground canal connected to a sewage treatment plant (STP), with treated water diverted into the Aachankulam tank. Two STP sites are under consideration, with construction options including a box culvert or large-diameter pipelines.
