Fourth application window opens for PLI in white goods

The government has opened applications for the fourth time under the Production Linked Incentive scheme for white goods. Companies can apply between September 15 and October 14. The PLI scheme aims to boost domestic manufacturing of components for appliances such as air conditioners, LED lights, and other consumer goods, while reducing import dependence and enhancing India’s competitiveness in the sector. The initiative supports industrial growth by attracting investments and expanding production capacity in the white goods industry.
