iGo partners with Sun Electro Devices for smart EV production

Bengaluru-based iGo has partnered with Pune-based Sun Electro Devices to accelerate production of 2.5-wheeler smart EVs. The ecosystem-driven manufacturing model leverages existing Indian production capabilities for faster market entry. Sun Electro Devices brings automotive production expertise, a skilled workforce, and a strong supplier network. The partnership targets scaling output to 1,000 vehicles per month within seven months, with initial launches in Pune, Panjim, and Mumbai. iGo’s twin-wheel EV platform features anti-topple stabilisation, on-demand self-balancing, and triple-disc CBS braking, positioned between traditional scooters and e-rickshaws for urban mobility.
