Roads and Highways Sector News India

MMRDA will construct a 21-km double-decker flyover from Shil Phata to Ranjnoli via Kalyan, planned as one of India’s longest. The structure will accommodate a four-lane road on the lower deck and metro lines on the upper deck. It will integrate with major corridors including the Virar–Alibaug multimodal corridor and the Mumbai–Ahmedabad bullet train route. The project aims to ease congestion and improve regional connectivity within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
