Maharashtra Clears Major MHADA Redevelopment Policy

Real Estate Sector News India

The Maharashtra State Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has approved a large-scale redevelopment plan for MHADA colonies across Mumbai and its suburbs. Targeting layouts of over 20 acres, the proposal focuses on replacing ageing structures from the 1950s and 1960s with modern, safe housing featuring lifts, parking areas, gardens, gyms, and schools. Nearly 5,000 cooperative societies and 114 MHADA projects will be redeveloped, aiming to enhance safety and quality of life and improve urban infrastructure in the city.
