HMR Plans Procurement of 60 Metro Coaches

Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMRL)

Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited has decided to procure 60 new metro train coaches and has approached the state government for necessary approvals. The procurement will cover six-coach train sets, with tendering to be initiated after clearance. In parallel, the government-owned SPV is progressing with plans to take over Phase-I operations of the 69.2-km metro network from L&T Metro Rail Hyderabad within the current financial year. HMR has appointed IDBI Capital as financial consultant for review of Phase-I accounts and is in the process of appointing a technical consultant.
