Power Grid tenders 100 MW BESS project in Punjab

Power Grid Corporation plans to implement a 100 MW / 200 MWh grid-connected battery energy storage system at the 220 kV Bhatinda substation in Punjab. The scope includes design, installation, and 12 years of O&M. The project aims to enhance grid stability and energy storage capacity. Bids were recently invited in this regard. The project completion timeline is of 15 months.
