Equinix to Establish First IBX Data Centre in Chennai with $65 Million Investment

Equinix, a digital infrastructure company, announced plans to establish its first International Business Exchange (IBX) data centre, named CN1, in Chennai. Covering nearly six acres in the Siruseri area of SIPCOT, approximately 28 kilometers from the Central Business District, CN1 will have a total site capacity of 4,950 cabinets or around 25 megawatts of power when fully constructed. The project involves an initial investment of $65 million.
