CCI Clears Greenko Energies Acquisition of Shares in Sikkim Urja for 1200 MW Hydro Project

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has granted clearance for Greenko Energies Private Limited to acquire additional shares in Sikkim Urja Limited, which serves as a special purpose vehicle for the proposed 1200 MW hydro power project in North Sikkim. This project aims to harness renewable energy sources for sustainable power generation. The special purpose vehicle was established in India to facilitate the implementation of the hydro power project, which will be overseen by Greenko Mauritius, a wholly owned subsidiary of Greenko Energy Holdings (GEH).
