The Union Civil Aviation Ministry will explore the feasibility of establishing seven new airports in Andhra Pradesh, as recommended by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The Centre has agreed to study four potential locations—Srikakulam, Kuppam, Dagadarthi, and Nagarjuna Sagar. The Chief Minister has offered to allocate land, and work on the new airports will begin promptly upon receiving the feasibility report. Additionally, the state government aims to improve regional connectivity and boost economic development by establishing these new airports. The proposed locations are strategically chosen to serve underserved regions, enhance tourism, and facilitate faster movement of goods and passengers across the state.
