Adani Power Acquires 600 MW Thermal Plant in Nagpur

Adani Power has completed the ?4,000 crore acquisition of Vidarbha Industries Power, a 600 MW coal-based thermal plant in Butibori, Nagpur. The deal, approved by NCLT under the IBC process, adds two 300 MW units to Adanis operational capacity, raising it to 18,150 MW. APL plans to scale up to 30,670 MW by FY30 through multiple ultra-supercritical thermal projects across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh, along with revival of a 1,320 MW unit at Korba.
