GMR Warora Energy Proposes 660 MW Thermal Power Expansion in Chandrapur

GMR Warora Energy Limited

GMR Warora Energy has proposed expansion of its existing power plant at Mohabala MIDC Growth Centre, Warora, District Chandrapur, Maharashtra by adding a 660 MW domestic coal based unit under Phase II. The project will be developed within the existing premises without additional land requirement, with coal sourced from SECL and WCL and water from the Wardha River. Power evacuation will be through a 400 kV system with modern pollution control measures. The proposal is under environmental clearance consideration.
