Capacity Expansion of Kandla Port Facilities

Environmental clearance is sought for development of seven integrated facilities (Stage I) within the existing Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) limits. The existing port handling capacity of 131.07 MMTPA will be augmented by an additional 32.07 MMTPA to reach a total capacity of 163.14 MMTPA. The proposed facilities include development of an oil jetty for liquid cargo and ship bunkering at old Kandla under PPP mode, multipurpose cargo terminal at Tekra off Tuna on BOT basis, upgradation of barge handling capacity at Bundar basin, construction of rail over bridge at NH 8A near Nakti Bridge, mechanization of dry cargo handling facility, strengthening of Oil Jetty-1 and modification and strengthening of Cargo Berth No. 6 at Kandla Port.
