Afcons Infrastructure Wins Rs 1,899.36 Crore Tunnel Project in Thane

Afcons Infrastructure has emerged as the L1 bidder for a tunnel project in Thane, awarded by the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM). The contract involves constructing a water conveyance tunnel from Kasheli Bhiwandi to Mulund Octroi Naka. The project scope includes building an approximately 113-meter deep shaft at Mulund (Octroi Naka) and a 7.15 km long RCC in-situ lined tunnel with a 4.5-meter finished diameter up to a 106-meter deep shaft at Kasheli (Bhiwandi). The construction will use a full face rock tunnel boring machine, and the project will be executed on a design-build mode.
