Amalpada pumped storage project planned with closed-loop system

Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited

The Amalpada Pumped Storage Project is a closed-loop system featuring an upper reservoir with 0.371 TMC gross and 0.242 TMC live storage capacity and a lower reservoir with 0.275 TMC gross and 0.243 TMC live storage capacity. The upper reservoir will have a maximum dam height of 82m, while the lower reservoir will have a 25m height, facilitating energy storage and generation. The project is located near Amalpada village in Songadh Taluk of Tapi District, Gujarat
