Andhra Pradesh will develop a shipbuilding and repair facility at Machilipatnam under the DBFOT model. The draft RFP has been approved, with the project targeting participation from experienced domestic and global players. The facility aims to unlock maritime potential, generate employment, and stimulate ancillary industries. The initiative aligns with the state’s broader strategy for investor-led port and industrial infrastructure expansion.
