Andhra Pradesh to host major oil refinery and petrochemical hub

Andhra Pradesh is set to host a major oil refinery and petrochemical hub in Ramayapatnam, Nellore district, with an investment of ?60,000 crore. Led by Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL), the project fulfills a promise made during the states bifurcation in 2014. After evaluating three potential sites, Ramayapatnam was selected based on feasibility studies. The project will cover 1,000 acres and is a key milestone in the state’s development, focusing on sustainable progress and industrialization. A formal announcement is expected soon.
