Andhra Pradesh Upgrades Pithapuram CHC to 100-Bed Area Hospital

The Andhra Pradesh government has upgraded the 30-bed Community Health Centre at Pithapuram, Kakinada district, to a 100-bed Area Hospital at a cost of ?38.32 crore. GO No.156 details the creation of 66 additional posts, with 13 to be filled by promotion, seven through direct recruitment, and 21 on a contractual basis. This upgrade is part of the state’s ongoing efforts to improve healthcare infrastructure and ensure better access to quality medical services for the growing population in the region.
