ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel is set to invest ?1.4 lakh crore in a large-scale steel plant in Anakapalli, Andhra Pradesh, over two phases. Phase one will involve ?80,000 crore to establish a 7.3 million tonnes per annum facility on 2,600 acres, while phase two will add 10.5 million tonnes with an additional ?60,000 crore and 2,000 more acres. The site near Nakkapalli includes plans for a dedicated jetty to manage raw material logistics.
