Assam to Begin PNG Supply Across Four New Towns

Purba Bharati Gas Private Limited (PBGPL)

The Purba Bharati Gas (PBGPL) joint venture (Assam Gas Company, Oil India, and GAIL Gas) will soon begin supplying piped natural gas (PNG) to households in the Assam regions of Baihata, Hajo, Sualkuchi, and Rangia. The company is scheduled to start pipeline work in phases shortly, aiming to provide clean, reliable household cooking gas and reduce LPG dependence.
