Bengaluru to Develop 17 New Sewage Treatment Plants
Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB)
BWSSB plans to construct 17 new sewage treatment plants (STPs) with a combined capacity of 583 million litres per day (MLD). The initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance wastewater treatment and supplement the existing 33 STPs, which currently treat 1,200 MLD, with a gap of 800 MLD still requiring treatment.
